Week 1 – SEO Basics
In week one we’ll set the foundation for your website and show you how to do a site audit. We’ll also cover Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster tools. You’ll learn how to set up and optimize your Google My Business page. Finally, we’ll cover citations.
Week 2 – Links
Week two dives into link building. What are inbound and outbound links and why are they important? How do you ask people to link to your website and pitch stories to go on other peoples sites? We’ll also cover how a public relations campaign can drive traffic to your website and aid in SEO
Week 3 – Power of Reviews and Social Media
Reviews are not only great for build brand trustworthiness for your clients, but also for Google. But not all reviews are created equal. We’ll also discuss how to deal with negative reviews. Finally, we’ll explore the role social media plays in SEO.
Week 4 – Analytics
Analytics tell the story of how people are interacting with your website. What pages are they visiting, how well is your content converting and where are they coming from are just a few examples. But knowing how people interact with your website and addressing problem areas can also help greatly with your SEO. We set up your analytics account in week 1, now we’ll go through how to use it.
Week 5 – Keywords
In our final class we’ll discuss keywords. What are they, where do you find them and how do you use them? And once they are in, how do you track them?
Bonus – Who is your client?
Knowing who your client is and who you are selling to is a big part of your marketing. It helps you refine copy and target your customers where they live online. As a bonus for signing up for this workshop you’ll get a bonus worksheet to walk you through your customer journey.
