Sami Bedell-Mulhern
A little over a year ago, I left my corporate job handling the marketing for an international guitar manufacturer. While I loved my job, I realized that my passion was working with small businesses and helping them tell their stories.
Small business owners and entrepreneurs have so much passion and work really hard. With all the innovations in marketing, creating a cohesive marketing strategy seems daunting. So instead, you try one thing and then another, and get frustrated in the process.
I started H & E Marketing Solutions to help businesses get away from that feeling of overwhelm. By teaching classes on individual topics, geared towards the beginner, I help people just like you tackle one thing at a time, see success and continue to grow.
My experience working with startup nonprofits established corporate companies, and everything in between, allows me to problem-solve and create opportunities for all business types, whether they are B2B, B2C or non-profit. I look forward to seeing you at a workshop!

Dr. Christy Bedasbad
Dr. Christy is a naturopathic physician and licensed acupuncturist who practices general family medicine with special interests in fertility treatments, women’s medicine, mental illness, and chronic conditions. Patients receive individualized medical care that may include acupuncture, homeopathy, botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, hydrotherapy, physical medicine, CranioSacral and Mayan Uterine Massage.

John Harris
Forty-eight years of operating a chain of retail stores in the Northwest carrying a wide variety of hardlines, clothing, food and drugs. Performed and managed all aspects of retail, including buying, merchandising, marketing, warehousing, trucking, importing, as well as experience in human resources, executive decision-making and commercial real estate and construction. As a retail executive, interacted with a variety of non-profit organizations, government agencies, large and small manufacturing companies and wholesale distributors.

Justin Bronson
BrNSN
Justin Bronson is the Founder & Chief Strategist at Bronson, a local strategic consultation firm. They guide brands through the process of deeper self discovery, inspiring the creation of more authentic brand stories. “At Bronson, we believe that branding is more anthropological than most would like to admit. People desire authentic human connection, the kind that moves and inspires. The brands we work with have powerful stories that can create this kind of connection. To be able to have impact with the people they exist for, we guide our brands in how to better speak into the lives of their people with clear, consistent value.”

Bubba Sellars
I first got serious with a camera, and about creating art, while involved in the motocross industry and haven’t looked back since then.
Over the years, I’ve worked on commercial projects with companies including TIMEX and TOMS, have photographed and filmed concerts for the Oregon Jamboree, Aaron Lewis and Slightly Stoopid and have also worked with personal clients, documenting their lives.

Chelsea Callicott
I have always had a passion for uncovering a compelling story and sharing it. From my earliest days managing media relations in a mayor’s office to opening an art museum to international acclaim, I’ve loved finding that perfect match between my client’s story and the right journalist to tell it. Securing media coverage for entrepreneurs, small businesses and not-for-profits is what I’ve done for a quarter century. Social media is a natural extension of our storytelling that extends your brand’s engagement across popular online platforms.

Shannon Hinderberger
Shannon Hinderberger is a social media and digital marketing strategist at Make+Drink Strategy, a social media, and digital marketing consulting and coaching agency with 20 years of experience working in the online marketing industry. She moved to Bend from Omaha, Nebraska in 2004 and led digital marketing efforts for Bend Memorial Clinic and Riverhouse on the Deschutes. She’s was awarded Accomplished 40 under 40 and was part of the Swivel Creative + Marketing Conference team from 2011 – 2017. At Make+Drink Strategy, she focuses on creating a compelling content strategy for social and digital amplification, as well as social media and digital marketing coaching for those who want to DIY their online presence in around 10 hours a month.

Session 1: Corporate Wellness - Why Self Care Is A Good Business Decision
This presentation will discuss why investing in self care has a high ROI for your business. We will also discuss the detrimental effects of stress on your body, and simple ways to combat stress and improve your health. Dr. Christy Bedasbad is a licensed naturopathic physician and acupuncturist practicing in Bend, Oregon. She and her husband founded Lumos Medical Center in August of last year. Their practice now has 4 practitioners, an office manager, and sees over 350 patients. As a doctor and small business owner, she hopes to share her experience and expertise to help you reach your health and business goals.

Do you know who you’re selling to? Identifying your ideal customer should be the first step in your marketing planning. It will help you define your voice, decide the marketing streams you use and most importantly if your product or service is viable.
We’ll work through the steps you need to take to define your audience and create at least one avatar together during the bonus brainstorm later in the day.
Already have your customer avatar? It doesn’t hurt to revisit this activity to make sure you’re still on the right track.
